NIKKI
SHAW
After obtaining my Bachelor of science degree, majoring in Psychology and minoring in Criminal Justice from Radford University, I received my Master’s degree in Rehabilitation Counseling from Virginia Commonwealth University Health System. My education prepared me academically, but my passion and commitment has been
experienced while providing counseling services for individuals of all ages affected by mental health,
substance use disorders, trauma and behavioral health issues for over 15 years.
I am passionate about helping others work through past trauma, addiction, dysfunctional relationships,
anxiety, depression, grief and other issues that negatively impact their quality of life. At The St. Luke
Legacy Center, I participate and encourage accountability and teamwork. Our goal is to provide holistic
clinical services focusing on stabilizing and improving the mental health and wellness of families in our
community. We strive to ensure our clients and their families have access to a wide range of services
that teach them positive ways to manage their symptoms and behaviors. Our team of highly skilled and
dedicated licensed mental health professionals (LMHP), qualified mental health professionals (QMHP),
residents in counseling, and supervisees in social work are available. We will tailor services to meet your
specific needs and preferences with the goal of long-term improvement for you and your family.
I Now Know … The thing about pain is it doesn’t have to last forever; the thing about scars is they all
start to fade until nothing is left. The thing about today is there is always tomorrow. Through it all, if
you can’t find your smile, there are people willing to share theirs until and long after Your Smile is
Restored! Beside you they will stand, but they won’t know it’s needed unless you reach out your hand!
Reach out your hand to A New Legacy Family Services, and we’ll make sure you get the help you need.
